Gap Analysis
Blast’s Intelligent Gap Assessments accurately diagnose student knowledge on specific skills. Our Study Buddy system, described earlier, effectively breaks the geographic and expertise barrier that limited the old model of extended family tutoring. Now a caring relative anywhere can actively help a student learn, with the AI guiding them. This is unique in the market and resonates with cultures and communities where family involvement is prized. For example, many of our target families (in tight-knit church communities) will love this feature – a grandparent can feel useful and connected to the child’s education even from afar. It also adds a layer of accountability and motivation for the student (“Grandma is going to call me and we’ll do homework together, I better be prepared!”). No traditional school or typical edtech includes the family in this way.
Voice-Interactive Learning
The Alexa/Siri-like tutor capability means we are tapping into new modalities of learning (audio) and meeting students where they are (on their phones, with earbuds in). A lot of learning can happen outside the “classroom” this way, effectively increasing study time without it feeling onerous.
